an-nyeong-ha-se-yo (“hello” in Korean: 안녕하세요)! Last Sunday I preached from Luke 10:21-24, which you can find at http://cpefc.org/sermon-audio. Jesus rejoices in hiding and revealing and blessing – we should too.
This Sunday at 9:30 we will learn about women, wives and mothers from Proverbs 31 and at 10:30 I will preach from Luke 10:25-37, “serving in joy”. We will think about the relationship between serving and eternal life.
We had a great discussion about church property after church last Sunday. Thank you to everyone who shared and has been sharing, even if you couldn’t attend the meeting. The servant board will move ahead with gathering more information and will keep everyone updated. Please keep this issue and leaders and community in prayer as we look ahead to the next 10 years.
Please keep Sean in prayer as he transitions to Japan and Korea. Please keep Jess in prayer as well as she recovers from illness. Praise for Chuck’s safe return and we lift up Puerto Rico as a mission field. Puerto Rico is dominantly Catholic, with Evangelicals making up 25% of the total population. According to Operation World, “Sadly, the churches make little impact on the many social needs of the nation.”
We praise God that Macy had a good doctor’s visit, but is in need of 2 1/2 years of continued treatments. We pray for the end of school year and all our students, schools and staffs. We remember Vaye Jean’s family in time of loss and hope for a Christian Motorcycle Association chapter in the area. We give thanks for work and bus contracts, and ask the Lord to make Himself known to Mike in a deeper way.
Blessings to you and please remember you are blessed. “Blessed are the eyes that see what you see!” (Luke 10:23)
you are loved and prayed for
Leigh
