weekly update

June 20, 2018 by Leigh Warmbrand

Muraho, “Hello” in Rwanda! Last Sunday we learned about the ministry of the Holy Spirit from John 16 at the 9:30 Bible hour and I preached from Luke 11:29-36 at 10:30, “see the light of the King”. You can find the sermon online at the SERMON AUDIO tab above.

This Sunday we will learn about the work of the Holy Spirit in Acts 2 at 9:30 am. I will preach from Luke 11:37-54 on “woes and warnings” at 10:30. Hope to see you this Sunday!

We are planning a baptism service in August or September. If you would like to be baptized, please let me know and we can firm up a date.

We are also planning a trip to SMSU in Marshall, MN between August 22-26 to visit our missionaries Matt and Emma Heiman. It will be an opportunity to build relationships as a missions team, to help Matt and Emma on the field, and to learn about sharing faith in Jesus with the lost. Please let me know if you can attend any part of this trip.

Please keep building, property issues, leaders and community in prayer as we look ahead to the next 10 years. We praise God for the end of the school year and please continue to pray for a summer of blessings and travel mercies as many of us are coming and going at various times.

Please keep the Ness family in prayer as they grieve the lost of Jim Schaeffer. PRAISE God for Father’s Day and a safe missions trip to Rwanda, and many people put their faith in Christ. PRAISE God for Victory Bible Camp and we pray for sharing the gospel to campers. Many demonstrations are occurring around the world and there is civil unrest and discord; please pray for police forces and first responders in our country. We remember our government officials and PRAISE God for a local ministry we could assist recently.

Blessings to you and we are happy to be here with you at CPEFC. You are loved and prayed for.

Leigh
